27.3.2024 What the #fsharp with Isaac Ibraham

2

Hi everyone,

It’s finally time to make sure Urs can’t say fsharp all the time during talks about C# by inviting Isaac Abraham over to talk about fsharp 😉

In collaboration with the .NET Usergroup Bern we are looking forward hosting Isaac. If you can’t make it to our event Isaac will also be in Bern.

What the #fsharp

You’ve almost certainly heard of F# as a .NET language – but few people actually have the time to try to use it in a meaningful way, or realise that it’s now easier than ever to start using it

This talk will explain the value proposition behind F#, discuss valid real-world use cases and applications of the language and show practical, low-risk strategies to start benefitting from the language. There will also be some pre-prepared and ad-hoc code-focused and end-to-end demos that show F# in action which hopefully dispels any of the fear around the language that you might have! Attendees will be encouraged to interact and ask questions throughout, with the opportunity for an “ask me anything” section as well.
